Can't Get Enough

We're starting him on solids.  What do you think?  Is the entire apple too much?

I just can't seem to get enough of this little guy.  I told myself that I would take pictures of things other than my child.  I told myself that there is more to life.  I told myself that I would document all of life, not just the child.  I've been trapped in the room before with the proud parent and 4,000 pictures of the first three weeks of life.  I've given them the "ooohs" and "ahhhs" that were expected even though to my untrained eye I could NOT tell the difference in facial expressions compared to the first 100 that were shown to me.

But.

It seems I have a problem.  I am completely taken with this little guy!  He makes me laugh.  He can always bring a smile to my face and a lift to my spirits.  He has stolen my heart.

So forgive me my indulgence.  I do have many many blog post topics running around in my brain, and perhaps if you are lucky, and I remove the camera from my immediate reach... you'll get to read something more.  Then again, maybe not.

Oh, wait...I may be a little biased...

  2. He's such a photogenic cutie. And holds his own apple! Plenty blogworthy if you ask me.

  3. I agree with tawnya! It truly is amazing how much you can love a baby, huh? Like you get a lump in your throat sometimes. After waiting so long to have a baby, why are you so hesitant to share about Ben? To not hurt the feelings of those that don't have children?

  4. I wouldn't say hesitant, because clearly I share all the time, but I don't want it to be all that I have to say. There is more running around in my head and I don't want this blog to turn into a Ben Tribute Piece when there is so much more going on, in family, in life, etc. It's mostly because as I looked through my June pictures, they were all Ben photos. He is clearly well documented! But what else happened in June? Does that make sense?

    and Julie, thank you!

and Tawyna, I'm a bit biased myself. :) So glad you like him so much though! Even though he's capable of making all appendages fall asleep during a good rocking.

  5. AND...I wanted to say that I think this is the eternal quest for moms. We so very want to make sure we don't lose us in the process of this mom gig. It's a tough balance, for sure.
